Thursford is a festive feast for all the senses!
Thursford is home to the famous Christmas Spectacular, a three-hour extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, comedy, and speciality acts.
Firmly putting North Norfolk on the map, the show has grown from a small carol concert in an old farm shed, into one of the biggest Christmas shows of its kind in Europe.
Every November and December, the Thursford Steam Museum (which houses the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs) is transformed into a winter wonderland, offering audiences the opportunity to escape into the world of Christmas and leave their troubles at the door.
With a new show every year, the team continually strives to push the limits in terms of performance and production, becoming bigger and better than the last. Preparations for the show begin in January and continue throughout the year up until rehearsals start in September. With a cast of over 120 singers, dancers, live orchestra, and speciality acts performing on a 130ft stage and across the aisles inside a 1,400 seated steam museum, entertainment doesn’t get much bigger than this!
Located in the picturesque seaside town of Old Hunstanton on the Norfolk Coast, the Le Strange Arms Hotel is the perfect venue for our visit to the Thursford Spectacular!
The hotel boasts magnificent sea views and offers a stylish and comfortable stay.
